Deakin is the brother of my beloved Ghunnyr.
The first time I met Deakin was on our way to the 2002 GSCA National Specialty. It
was just over a month after Ghunnyr had died. It was quite a shock to see Deakin,
for he looks quite a bit like his Brother. Keri was kind enough to let me take Deakin
into the Veteran Sweeps ring to receive his Medallion at that Specialty. It was a
bittersweet moment, for I was supposed to be in that ring with Ghunnyr.
Deakin now awaits atop that hill with Ghunnyr, two brothers who looked so very
much alike, sitting side by side, waiting for Keri and I.
